E-Prescribing (Digital Rx)

Has your agency transitioned to the new AWARDS E-Prescribing, available as of February 2020?  If so, please click here instead!

The AWARDS E-Prescribing feature is an optional database service that enables physicians and other medical professionals to electronically send client prescriptions directly to a pharmacy to be filled using a partner application - H2H Solution's Digital Rx, a Surescripts certified platform.  When subscribed to, this feature is accessible from within the Medical module's Medications and Allergies features.  It is also accessible wherever forms built with the FormBuilder are placed if those forms have been set to include the medications dynamic section.  For more information on this powerful add-on tool, please refer to the resources provided below.

Required Permissions

Because the E-Prescribing feature is an optional add-on service available by subscription, it is not automatically available in all databases, nor is it automatically available for all users when an agency subscribes to it.  In subscribing agencies access is assigned to individual users by Foothold Technology.

IMPORTANT! In multi-agency databases E-Prescribing is turned on at the agency level and access can only be given to staff members who are assigned to an agency/division.  As a result, CoC / Continuum members cannot be granted E-Prescribing access.

Staff for which the E-Prescribing feature has been turned on must have the following permissions in order to use it:

Program Chart Access
Display Any Chart Records Buttons
Display Chart Records Medical Button
Display Chart Records Profile Button (optional - to work with medications from within client face sheets if the face sheet has been configured to allow it)

NOTE: Permissions are assigned using the Permissions Maintenance feature.  If you do not have access to that feature and need a permission listed here, please contact your supervisor or your local Help Desk for assistance.
