Employer records contain several tabs:
To learn more about each of the fields/options on an employer record tab, click the name of that tab above or scroll through the content below.
Below is an alphabetical list of fields/options found on the Employer Information tab during the employer data entry process. To review information on a specific field or option, scroll through the list, or press <Ctrl+F> to access your browser's search feature and then enter the name of the field/option in question.
Company Name
In the Company Name field, type or make changes to the name of the company. This will be the employer record's main identifier on the index page.
In the Email field, type or make changes to the email address of the employer.
Fax
In the Fax field, type or make changes to the fax number of the employer.
Is This Employer a Vendor?
Click this drop-down arrow and select "Yes" or "No" to indicate whether the employer is a vendor. The default selection is "No." If "Yes" is selected, the Vendor Information tab is made available for data entry on the employer data entry page.

Phone
In the Phone field, type or make changes to the phone number of the employer.
Status
Click this drop-down arrow and select "Active" or "Inactive to indicate the employer's status. The default selection is "Active." If "Inactive" is selected instead, the employer will not be made available when entering job placement or job interview records in AWARDS.
NOTE: If there are existing job placement or job interview records for this employer, those records will continue to display as part of the client's records even if the employer's status is set to "Inactive;" however, the inactive employer will not be available for data entry.
Street Address, City, State, Zip
In the Street Address, City, and Zip fields, type or make changes to the address of the employer. Click the State drop-down arrow and select the state of the employer.

Below is an alphabetical list of fields/options found on the Contacts Information tab during the employer data entry process. To review information on a specific field or option, scroll through the list, or press <Ctrl+F> to access your browser's search feature and then enter the name of the field/option in question.
Contact Type
Click this drop-down arrow and select the type of contact being entered on the employer record. The contents of this drop-down vary based on agency settings, but possible options are: Contact, Supervisor, and Hiring Personnel.

Department
In the Department field, type or make changes to the department in which the employer contact works.
In the Email field, type or make changes to the email address of the employer contact.
Fax
In the Fax field, type or make changes to the fax number of the employer contact.
First Name, Last Name
In the First Name and Last Name fields, type or make changes to the names of the employer contact. This will be the record's main identifier on the contact index.
Job Title
In the Job Title field, type or make changes to the job title of the employer contact.
Phone
In the Phone field, type or make changes to the phone number of the employer contact.

# Openings
In the # Openings field, type or make changes to the number of openings that exist for the available position.
Benefits
Click this drop-down arrow and select "Yes" or "No" to indicate whether the available position includes benefits.
DOT Code
In the DOT Code field, type or make changes to the DOT code that applies to the available position. Click the Dictionary of Occupational Titles link to open a new window that lists the codes.
Hours / Week
In the Hours/Week field, type or make changes to the hours per week the available position involves.
Job Title
In the Job Title field, type or make changes to the job title of the available position.
Occupational Category
Click this drop-down arrow and select the occupational category of the available position.
Pay Rate
In the Pay Rate field, type or make changes to the dollar amount the available position offers, and click the corresponding drop-down arrow to select the frequency. Available options for pay frequency are: Hour, Day, Week, Biweekly, Month, and Annual.
Status
Click this drop-down arrow and select the status of the available position. Options included in the drop-down are: Permanent, Temporary, Intern, and Casual.

Accommodation Flexibility
Click this drop-down arrow and select the accommodation flexibility that applies to the employer. Available options are Welcoming, Unsure, and Welcoming.
Average # Monthly Openings
In the Average # Monthly Openings field, type or make changes to the average number of openings this employer typically has.
Department
The Department field displays the read-only department of an employer contact with the contact type of "Hiring Personnel." If no contacts are designated with that type, this field is blank.
Hourly Pay Rates of Most Frequently Available Positions
In the Hourly Pay Rates of Most Frequently Available Positions field, type or make changes to the pay rates that apply to the positions that are most often available at the employer.
Job Titles of Most Frequently Available Positions
In the Job Titles of Most Frequently Available Positions field, type or make changes to the list of job titles most often available at the employer.
Minimum Qualifications
In the Minimum Qualifications field, type or make changes to the minimum qualifications needed for applying to open positions at the employer.
Perceived Comfort with Consumer
Click this drop-down arrow and select the employer's perceived comfort with the client. Available options are Welcoming, Unsure, and Welcoming.
Person Responsible for Hiring
The Person Responsible for Hiring field displays the read-only name of an employer contact with the contact type of "Hiring Personnel." If no contacts are designated with that type, this field displays "No record found," but information can still be entered and saved on the form.
Previous Experience with Disability
Click this drop-down arrow and select the employer's previous experience with disability. Available options are Welcoming, Unsure, and Welcoming.
Process for Referral of Consumer
In the Process for Referral of Consumer field, type or make changes to the process of referring clients to the employer.
Process to Maintain Ongoing Relationship
In the Process to Maintain Ongoing Relationship field, type or make changes to the process in which the agency can keep an ongoing relationship with the employer.
Process for Workplace Education/Training
In the Process for Workplace Education/Training field, type or make changes to the process for workplace education and training as it relates to the employer.
Title
The Title field displays the read-only title of an employer contact with the type of "Hiring Personnel." If no contacts are designated with that type, this field will be blank.
Ways Agency Can Be Helpful to Employer
In the Ways Agency Can Be Helpful to Employer field, type or make changes to the ways in which the agency can assist or be helpful to the employer.
Work Environment
Click this drop-down arrow and select the workplace environment that applies to the employer. Available options are Welcoming, Unsure, and Welcoming.

Customer Status
Click this drop-down arrow and select the customer status of the employer. Available options are Excellent, Good, Fair, Poor, and Unknown.
Dollar Amount of Business Per year
In the Dollar Amount of business per year field, type or make changes to the dollar amount of business paid to the employer by the agency each year.
First Name, Last Name
In the First Name and Last Name fields, type or make changes to the names of the vendor contact.
Frequency of Business
Click this drop-down arrow and select the frequency of business dealings between the agency and employer. Available options are Annually, Monthly, and Quarterly.
Product/Service Purchased by Agency
In the Product/Service purchased by agency field, type or make changes to the products and/or services that the agency has purchased from the employer.
Year Became Agency Vendor
In the Year became agency vendor field, type or make changes to the year in which the employer became an agency vendor.
