Viewing a Progress Notes Viewing Report

Previous Topic  Next Topic

The Progress Notes Viewing Report, available from within the AWARDS Reports module, contains information on those users who have accessed and viewed progress notes in the past 5 days (for all note writers) or 14 days (for a single note writer).  It can be used for keeping track of who is reading consumer notes for auditing and supervisory purposes.  To view this report, complete the following steps:

    1. From the navigation bar, click Reports (or the Reports icon).  The Reports index page is displayed.

    1. Click the Program drop-down arrow and select the individual program for which the report is to be run, or select a group of programs using one of the available "All" or "Custom Grouping" selections.
    2. If you previously bookmarked the Note Viewing Report it is displayed on the reports index by default; otherwise, from the left-hand menu bar, click All under "Show Reports."
    3. Use the navigation features in the bottom-right corner of the reports index to locate the Note Viewing Report, or enter "note viewing" in the Search field in the upper-right corner.
    4. Click Note Viewing Report from the reports index. The Progress Notes Report Selections page is displayed.

    1. Click the Writer drop-down arrow and select "All Writers."
    2. Click the Client drop-down arrow and select "All Clients."
    3. The date range for which the report can be viewed is based on the Writer selection made in step 6.  If "All Writers" was selected, only note viewing information from a selected 5 day period can be included in the report.  If a single writer was selected, the report can be run for a period of up to 14 days.

Indicate the date range for which the report is to be viewed by making changes to the default date range in the From and To fields on this page (using mm/dd/yyyy format).

    1. Click Note Viewing.  The progress note viewing report is displayed on the Progress Note Viewing Report page.

The contents of this read-only report include viewer, client, writer, note type, encounter date, note written date, note seen on date, and number of times each note was viewed.  It also includes the total number of times a note was viewed at least once by each viewer.

The process of viewing a progress notes viewing report is now complete.
