The Housing module Nightly Absences feature is an optional database enhancement that is used to track consumers' nights away from an agency program.

  TIP: Agencies using the AWARDS BillingBuilder typically use this feature when they need to bill based on Housing - Nightly Absences, aka bed nights, as specified in the Billable Documentation Types field on the Procedure Configuration page.  This option is available for the Monthly, Per Diem/Daily, or Fee for Service billing types.  For more detailed information about procedure configuration, click here.

Required Permissions

Because the Nightly Absences feature is optional, it is not automatically available in all databases.  When requested, it is turned on behind-the-scenes in AWARDS by Foothold Technology for all programs.  (Contact the Help Desk if this feature is not currently turned on in your AWARDS database and you would like it to be.)  

When turned on, the Nightly Absences feature is available for use by staff with the following permissions:

Program Chart Access
Display Any Chart Records Buttons
Display Chart Records Housing Button

  NOTE: Permissions are assigned using the Permissions Maintenance feature.  If you do not have access to that feature and need a permission listed here, please contact your supervisor or your local Help Desk for assistance.
