To view a read-only residential census status report from within the Reports module, complete the following steps:

    1. From the navigation bar, click Reports (or the Reports icon).  The Reports index is displayed.

    1. Click the Program drop-down arrow in the upper-right corner of the page and select the individual residential program for which the report is to be run, or select a group of programs using one of the available "All" or "Custom Grouping" selections.

NOTE: This report is only available for residential programs.  If a non-residential program is selected, the report's program selection defaults to "All Agency Housing."

    1. If you previously bookmarked the Residential Census Status Report it is displayed on the reports index by default; otherwise, from the left-hand menu bar, click All under "Show Reports."
    2. Use the navigation features in the bottom-right corner to locate the Residential Census Status Report in the index, or enter "residential census" in the Search field in the upper-right corner.
    3. Click Residential Census Status Report from the reports index.    The Residential Census Status Report page is displayed.

    1. In the Report Date field, type the date for which the report is to be viewed (using mm/dd/yy format).  The default value is today's date.
    2. All admission or discharge information recorded between the date entered in the Show Admission/Discharge Since field and the report date will be included in the residential census status report.  The default value is a month from today's date.  If necessary, make changes to this date (using mm/dd/yy format).
    3. Click CONTINUE.  The report is displayed on the Residential Census Status Report page.

The contents of this read-only report include census/vacancies, accepted/waiting/ anticipated admissions, actual/anticipated discharges, actual/anticipated movement, respite care observation status, pre-transition visitation status, and hospitalizations/returns information.

NOTE: When reviewing the content of this report, please keep in mind that:

Accepted/Waiting/Anticipated" includes referrals with "Accepted Admission" status within the last two years, for clients who are not currently in an agency residential program.

If your AWARDS database is configured to use the feature that lets you discharge directly from one program into another, any clients admitted into your program in that way don't show as a new admission on this report because they were already being served by your agency.

Click the heading of any report column to sort the report contents by that variable.  To limit which columns are displayed, click the column display icon in the upper left-hand corner of the report and pick and choose which columns of information should be included.

The process of viewing a residential census status report is now complete.
