Create Program Groupings

When running reports throughout AWARDS, the Program drop-down selection list includes those programs to which a user has chart access, as well as several default program groupings; for example, "All Agency Programs" and "All Residential Programs."  The Create Program Groupings tool, located in the System Setup module, enables users to create custom program groups based on characteristics recorded under Agency Program Information. Those custom groupings are then included in program selection lists throughout AWARDS to allow for greater flexibility when running reports.

  NOTE: All custom groupings created using this feature will be available to all AWARDS users; however, as always, report content will be limited to only those programs to which each user has chart access.  If a program group contains a mix of programs to which the user does and does not have chart access, only data for accessible programs is displayed in report contents.

Required Permissions

IMPORTANT!  Due to the universal nature of the lists created using the Program Groupings feature, it is recommended that agencies limit access to the tool to one or two designated users who can work collaboratively with the executive team to determine the makeup of the custom groupings.

The Create Program Groupings feature is available to users with the following permissions:

In addition, unless you are in the "Executive Officer" or "System Administrator" user groups, you must have ONE of the following permissions:

Display Executive Administration Buttons
Permissions Data Entry
Permissions Data Entry for All Staff and Layers

  NOTE: Permissions are assigned using the Permissions Maintenance feature.  If you do not have access to that feature and need a permission listed here, please contact your supervisor or your local Help Desk for assistance.
